In sad news, Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz died the other day, at 94. He was the first Arabic language writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. Click here to read more.

I recently found this smart, insightful blog called My Lebanon is being burned to ashes, which I highly recommend. Today, for example, they posted an interesting observation on Xenophobia and Labelling as the source of all wars.
